Evata PLAN · For fleets going electric

Every journey. Replayed in an EV.

Upload your telematics export. Evata replays each vehicle's real journeys in the EVs you're considering, then shows which to choose, what they'd cost to charge, and what chargers each of your sites needs.

CSV export · Nothing to fit to your vehicles · No integration project

What one upload gets you

From a CSV to a charging plan.

Built from how your vehicles are actually driven, not from averages. Model scenarios: change the EVs, your prices or where vehicles charge, run it again and compare.

01

An EV for every vehicle

The model with the lowest yearly charging cost, counting the time it spends charging on the road.

02

Fuel against charging

Diesel against charging, at the prices you set, by vehicle, by switching score and for the whole fleet.

03

A plan for every site

How many chargers, which kind, the peak load they draw and an estimated cost to install.

04

Scenarios you can rerun

Your electricity rates, diesel price and cost of downtime, the EVs you compare and where they charge. Change any of them and run it again.

How it works

Four steps. Nothing to fit.

  1. 01

    Upload your journeys

Export journeys from your telematics system as a CSV. We map the columns and show you a before and after to confirm.

  2. 02

    Every vehicle categorised

Each registration is looked up with DVLA and put in its class: car, van, truck or HGV. A van is only ever compared with electric vans, an HGV with electric HGVs. If DVLA can't tell, you choose.

  3. 03

    Replay it in an EV

Every journey, day by day, in the EVs you pick, charging at your depots, at home, at partner sites or at public chargers on the way.

  4. 04

    Find your easy wins

Every vehicle gets a switching score, from 1, never needs to charge on the road, to 4, charges on the road most and saves least. Then fuel against charging across your fleet, and an estate plan showing what every site you hold needs.

EV suitability

A day in the life of each EV.

See how each vehicle would get through its real working days on electric: where the battery runs low, where it charges, and how long it waits.

  • Battery level through every day in your data
  • Where it charged: depot, home, partner site or public
  • The extra time spent charging on the road
  • A switching score from 1 (easiest) to 4

Cost models

What charging really costs.

Fuel against electricity is half the story. Evata also counts the hours your drivers would lose waiting at public chargers, at your own cost per hour, and shows what your own chargers save against relying on public ones.

  4. Journey
Annual fuel cost
Diesel for each vehicle's real mileage over a year, at the price per litre you set.
Annual EV charging cost
Electricity for the same journeys, at the rates you set for each kind of charger.
Operational impact
Every hour a driver waits at a public charger instead of working, priced at what that lost time costs your business.
Saving from infrastructure
What charging at your own sites saves against relying on public chargers alone.

The difference, in pounds and per cent. Every figure is scaled from your sample to a full year.
Charging infrastructure

Every site, sized.

One estate plan across the whole business, built from the recommended EV for every vehicle. It shows each location you hold, what to install there and what it would draw from the grid.

Units requiredHow many chargers each site needs to serve its vehicles.
Charger mixFrom 22 kW AC posts to 200 kW DC units.
Peak site loadThe most the site draws, before and after spreading the charging out.
Estimated capexChargers plus grid connection, as a planning estimate.
Left to public chargingThe energy your sites can't cover, in kWh a week and as a share of demand.

Scenarios

Try a charger before you install it.

Every plan is a scenario you can change and run again. Evata finds the places your vehicles stop again and again: mark one as a charging proxy and the next run charges there, as if the charger were already in the ground.

  • Change the EVs you compare, your prices and where vehicles charge
  • Regular stops, found from your own journeys
  • Where each vehicle parks overnight, ready to confirm as home charging
  • Every run kept as its own cost model, to compare with the last

FAQs

Questions fleets ask.

What data do I need?
A journey export from your telematics system, as a CSV: vehicle registration, start and end time, start and end location as latitude and longitude, and distance. There's a sample file to follow.
Will it work with my telematics provider?
If it exports journeys with coordinates to CSV, yes. Evata maps the columns for you and shows you a before and after to confirm. There's no integration to set up.
How much data should I upload?
The more days, the steadier the figures. Evata scales your sample up to a year and tells you when the sample is short.
Does it take the price of the vehicle into account?
No. Evata recommends on the cost of charging, plus the time a vehicle loses charging on the road.
Are the charger costs quotes?
No. They're planning estimates against a standard catalogue of chargers and grid-connection costs, to size the job before you go out for quotes.
Where does the public charging data come from?
The UK's National Chargepoint Registry. When a vehicle needs to charge on the way, Evata picks from those chargers near its route.
